Fighting Film Collection No. 12 (Boyevoy kinosbornik No. 12) is the twelve issue of Boyevoy kinosbornik series, released in August 1942. It contains two segments: "Syn boytsa/ Son of a Fighter", and "Van'ka". The first segment depicts a story of a baby, saved and adopted by Soviet soldiers; the second is about the adventures of brother and sister in a partisans unit.

Revolvers
Nagant M1895
In "Son of a Fighter" Lt. Krotov (Evgeniy Nemchenko) carries a Nagant M1895 revolver in holster. In "Van'ka" Nagants are used by some German officers.

Lt. Krotov (Evgeniy Nemchenko) and some of his soldiers are armed with Suomi M31 SMGs in "Son of a Fighter". In "Van'ka" Suomi SMGs are used by German soldiers and Soviet partisans.

Mauser Carbine
In one scene in Van'ka a German soldier is armed with a Mauser carbine of unidentified model. It has very short barrel with full-length handguard, straight bolt handle and is fitted with bayonet which isn't common for such short rifles.
