Erika Eleniak
Erika Eleniak (born Erika Maya Eleniak on 29 September 1969) is an American actress, Playboy Playmate, and former model best known for her role in Baywatch as Shauni McClain. She famously came out of a cake topless in Under Siege (1992), co-starring with Steven Seagal and Tommy Lee Jones.
Erika was born in the Los Angeles suburb of Glendale, California. She is the eldest daughter in a family of four girls and one boy. Her father, Dale Alan Eleniak, is of Ukrainian descent and her mother, Iris Maya (Neggo) Arnold is of Estonian and German descent. Erika's paternal great-grandfather, Wasyl Eleniak, was one of the first pioneer Ukrainian immigrants to settle in Canada. Erika began her acting career at the age of 10, starring in numerous productions for television, film, commercials and theater. Her first film role was in the science fiction blockbuster E.T.: O Extraterrestre (1982), by Steven Spielberg, when she was 12. Her film credit given was "Pretty Girl". Her 10-year-old costar, Henry Thomas, told People magazine that he disliked filming the scene: “When I had to kiss the girl, I had to do it two times! I don’t like girls."
Eleniak appeared in the July 1989 issue of Playboy in a pictorial with a nautical theme; this magazine would be used in Home Alone (1990). That same year, she began a recurring role in the TV series Charles in Charge as Charles's girlfriend Stephanie Curtis, and won the more famous role on Baywatch as female lead Shauni McClain, which she played from 1989 to 1992. In 1992, Erika returned to film acting, playing a Playboy Playmate hired to perform a striptease for the captain of a U.S. Navy battleship in Under Siege. In the film, she is described as "Miss July 1989"—the month that Eleniak was Playmate of the Month in real life.
She had a small role in Last Action Hero (1993), being credited as "Video Babe".
In 1994 in Chasers, playing a hot blonde that needs to be escorted by navy SPs Tom Berenger and her ex-fiancé William McNamara. Erika shot another movie with McNamara, Girl in the Cadillac (1995), and starred as identical twins in the interactive 1995 video game Panic in the Park. Erika married bodybuilder Philip Goglia on 22 May 1998, but after just six months, the marriage ended in divorce. On 2001, she starred in Snowbound in Calgary, Alberta, beside Monika Schnarre; when she became enamored of the city.
Erika began dating Roch Daigle in 2001, a key grip who worked on the set. She had wanted to leave Los Angeles as she found commuting to and from Telluride, Colorado, difficult. She purchased a home in Calgary, where Daigle lived. The two eventually married and, in 2005, Erika became pregnant but six and a half weeks into her term, the pregnancy was discovered to be ectopic, which required emergency surgery, and ended in miscarriage. Erika later became pregnant again and gave birth to a daughter - Indyanna Daigle, on January 2006.
In 2002, Erika starred in the action movie Christmas Rush, co-starring with Dean Cain and Eric Roberts, and in the thriller Second to Die with Jerry Kroll and Colleen Camp. The film was first released on video in Spain and, afterwards, on 23 April, the it was released in the United States. In Shakedown (2002), she co-starred with Ron Perlman, Wolf Larson, Deborah Shelton and Fred Dryer. She also appeared in a guest-starring role on CSI: Miami (2002).
On the following year, she starred in Betrayal (also known as Lady Jayne: Killer), in which Julie du Page plays the professional assassin Jayne Ferré; co-starring with Adam Baldwin, James Remar, Damian Chapa and Jer Adrianne Lelliott. In the a 2003 action thriller The Librarians (also known as Strike Force), she looked for her missing sister as Sandi Clark, geting a job in the strip club where her sister was last seen, meeting a local crime syndicate's leader (Andrew Divoff). In the meantime her father (Michael Parks) hires the mercenaries played by William Forsythe, Daniel Bernhardt and Amaury Nolasco.
Erika played the lead role in Brilliant (2004) as Ricky Smith, co-starring with names such as Bruce Boxleitner, Matthew Boylan, Noel Burton and Victoria Sanchez. In the television horror film Dracula 3000 (also titled Dracula 3000: Infinite Darkness, and stylized as DRACULA.3000), Erika shared the screen with Starship Troopers veteran Casper Van Dien as Aurora Ash; co-starring with Udo Kier, Grant Swanby, Tom Lister Jr. and Alexandra Kamp. In 2005, she played title roles as FBI Agent Kate Parker in Caught in the Headlights, and as Jessica Hartley Landers in Fatal Reunion".
She had a minor role in Changing Hands (2010) and starred in Changing Hands Feature (2012).
