Driver: Parallel Lines is a 2006 video game by Reflections Interactive and published by Atari (PS2, XBOX) and Ubisoft (PC, Nintendo Wii). It follows the events of protagonist "TK", both before and after serving 28 years in New York's Sing Sing prison. The game is considered to be an improvement on its predecessor Driver 3.
The following weapons appear in the video game Driver: Parallel Lines:
1978
Smith & Wesson M1917 Revolver
The starting weapon in the game, the Smith & Wesson M1917 Revolver appears as the "Revolver" and has unlimited ammunition.
Smith & Wesson Model 500
The anachronistic Smith & Wesson Model 500 (identifiable by its long cylinder) appears as the "44H" and is much stronger then the regular revolver, but has a limited range. It has the unique ability of being able to knock people over as well as killing them in one shot.
Smith & Wesson Model 19
For some reason, both the Model 1917 and the Model 500 have Smith & Wesson Model 19s on their hud icons; the former's icon depicts a snub-nosed version, while the latter's shows a long-barreled target version.
Mini Uzi
As the "Service 9", the Mini Uzi is the first automatic weapon encountered in the game. The wire stock is removed on the in-game model.
Remington 1100
Simply called the "Shotgun", the Remington 1100 has a short range, but is very powerful. In the game, it is shown with a wooden furniture, pistol grip and an extended magazine tube. In order to completely confuse the situation, it also has the Remington Model 870's pump forend.
Armalite AR-10
The Armalite AR-10 appears as the "LI-15". It is favoured for its range and power.
AKM
In the PC version, "LI-15" is based on the AKM. Howewer, in the game it is inaccurately modeled without a gas tube, sights, and with solid forearm without holes, which suggests that it was actually made based on Saiga-12K.
Smith & Wesson Model 276 Gas Gu
The Smith & Wesson Model 276 Gas Gun appears as "Grenade Launcher", and it is the strongest weapon in the 1978 section of the game, but has a very slow reload time. In the game it is shown with a buttstock and pistol grip in the style of the later DefTech 1315, and with added horizontal forearm. As with many other guns, the HUD icon shows a completely different weapon, in this case a M79 Grenade Launcher. The latter would make more sense, since the Model 276 Gas Gun, as its name implies, in real life was only adapted to launch gas/noise grenades.
M79 Grenade Launcher
As with some of the game's other weapons, the "Grenade Launcher"'s HUD icon is a completely different weapon from the in-game model; in this case, it's an M79 grenade launcher.
2006
Beretta 92FS
The "Pistol", a Beretta 92FS, is the standard weapon in the 2006 section of the game. It also has unlimited ammo.
Desert Eagle MK I
An upgrade of the pistol, the Desert Eagle Mark I is called the "Gangster".
Heckler & Koch MP7
The MP7 appears as the "SF 10" and has a large range.
FN P90
The FN P90 appears as the "F 70" and has a higher rate of fire than the SF 10, but is less powerful. It is very incorrectly modeled in the game (and, as an exception, it corresponds to its HUD icon), without few elements, and it seems to be smaller than its real size.
Mossberg 500 Bullpup
The Mossberg Bullpup appears as the "Shotgun'06" and, like its predecessor, has a short range but is full auto (even though the real thing is pump-action).
Steyr AUG
As the "Aust Pup", the Steyr AUG is almost the same as the SF 10, with the slower rate of fire but good accuracy. Interestingly, despite being portrayed as a "modern" firearm, the AUG was actually introduced in 1978.
Heckler & Koch HK69A1
Incorrectly called the "RPG", the Heckler & Koch HK69A1 functions more like a rocket launcher. The projectiles however advance very slowly, at a speed of less than 140 mph (as it is possible to drive into the back of one at this speed).
Minigun
A hand-held Minigun is called the "Blaine" (a reference to Predator) is the most powerful weapon in the 2006 section of the game, and has a high magazine capacity.
