Capricorn One is 1977 thriller directed by Peter Hyams (Running Scared, The Relic) and starring James Brolin as the commander of the first manned mission to Mars who is forced along with his crew to participate in a conspiracy to fabricate the actual landing.

Colt Detective Special
Col. Brubaker (James Brolin) finds a Colt Detective Special a survival kit on the airplane, however he loses it while hiding from his pursuers. The Federal Agents who arrest Robert Caulfield's (Elliott Gould) apartment are also armed with the Colt Detective Special.
Col. Brubaker (James Brolin) tries to hand the Colt to Peter Willis (Sam Waterston).That's O.J. Simpson on his right.
A Federal Agent keeps his weapon on Caulfield (Elliott Gould) as he inspects the medicine cabinet.

A helicopter pilot opens fire on a fleeing Brubaker with a Smith & Wesson Model 10.
