Bodyguard is a 2018 British television series that was created and written by Jed Mercurio. Richard Madden stars as Sergeant David Budd, a troubled war veteran and Metropolitan Police Service Royalty and Specialist Protection Branch officer who becomes the bodyguard to the ambitious Home Secretary Julia Montague (Keeley Hawes). The series aired on BBC One in the United Kingdom and was distributed globally on Netflix.
