7554: Glorious Memories Revived (Vietnamese: 7554: Sống lại những ký ức hào hùng) is a 2011 Vietnamese first-person shooter developed by Emobi Games and released exclusively for PC. Set between 1946 and 1954, the campaign has players controlling members of the Việt Minh battling for Vietnamese independence from France during the First Indochina War. The game's title is a reference to the date of Việt Minh victory during the decisive battle of Điện Biên Phủ- May 7th, 1954.

"7554 is a historical action game, which tells of the events of the Indo-Chinese War. Its name comes from the date of May 7, 1954, when the Dien Bien Phu, the French army capitulated to the guerrillas Vietnamese - Viet Minh. This in turn led to the evacuation of the occupying armies of Indochina Peninsula and divide the country into North and South Vietnam, after signing a peace treaty in Geneva. Although the battle depicted in the game refer to the actual events, they are not an accurate reconstruction of history. The creators wanted to give an especially fast and friendly game player.

VG Title
This is a typical representative of the genre FPS set in a fast and simple gameplay. The action takes place in the years 1946 - 1954 during the Vietnamese struggle for independence and independence from French colonial administration. You play as a member of guerrilla troops of Ho Chi Minh and takes part in battles against the better equipped and trained soldiers to the enemy. The single-player campaign features 12 missions that will last a total of several hours of entertainment.

7554 is the first game of Vietnamese production destined for the PC and using the benefits of modern technology. Graphics engine is based on the Vision 8, the company Havok, which allows for realistic light and shadow, but the detailed implementation of the textures and animations now on release remained far behind the other members of the FPS genre s. The game world is based on a physical model PhysX, which allows realistic calculation of the collision (most items can be moved), the mapping behavior of bodies in the explosion, as well as simulating the undulating surface of the uniforms of soldiers and flags waving in the wind."

The game uses a common two weapon inventory system, with the player having the ability to carry two main weapons at a time regardless of type. In addition to the main weapons, a player has a melee weapon (machete, bayonet, knife), and two types of grenades (Mk 2 hand grenade, Model 24 Stielhandgranate, or Molotov). The player can man stationary weapons (Browning M2HB, Maxim MG08 and mortars). Each weapon is modeled well and has an alternate melee attack.
The game uses a standard weapons system. The player has the ability to have two main weapons regardless of whether the two pistols and rifles. In addition to the main weapon a player has a weapon he had (machete, bayonet, knife, military), and two types of grenades (MK2, Model 24 Stielhandgranate, Molotov). During the game, we are able to handle the weapon stationary (Browning M2, Maxim MG08, Mortar). Each weapon is very well resolved and has an alternate attack hit from the flask and the aim from the hip.

The MAS-49 appears as "MAS 49". The rifle is modeled after a MAS-49, but for some reason the receiver is modeled off of a MAS-49/56. The MAS-49/56 would be anachronistic as they were first produced in 1957 and the last French troops had left Vietnam the year prior. It is reloaded via detachable magazines with no option to use stripper clips.

The following weapons appear in the video game 7554:

Overview

The game uses a common two weapon inventory system, with the player having the ability to carry two main weapons at a time regardless of type. In addition to the main weapons, a player has a melee weapon (machete, bayonet, knife), and two types of grenades (Mk 2 hand grenade, Model 24 Stielhandgranate, or Molotov). The player can man stationary weapons (Browning M2HB, Maxim MG08 and mortars). Each weapon is modeled well and has an alternate melee attack.

Handguns

Rifles

Arisaka Type 99

The Arisaka Type 99 appears as simply "Arisaka". It predictably holds five rounds in a fixed magazine and loads via single cartridges. It has mounted a bayonet for melee attacks. It is modeled after the rarer, early-production long rifle, not the much more common short rifle because it doesn't have a full length stock over the front end of the barrel, and possesses a monopod and anti-aircraft wings on its rear sight.

MAS-49

MAS-49

The MAS-49 appears as "MAS 49". The rifle is modeled after a MAS-49, but for some reason the receiver is modeled off of a MAS-49/56. The MAS-49/56 would be anachronistic as they were first produced in 1957 and the last French troops had left Vietnam the year prior. It is reloaded via detachable magazines with no option to use stripper clips.

MAS-49/56 Scoped

The sniper variant of the MAS-49 gains the new designation of "Scoped MAS 49". In first-person view, it is modeled after the MAS-49/56, but the world model depicts a MAS-49 with a scope, rubber cheek pad, and bipod attached to the rifle.

M1903 Springfield

The M1903 Springfield. The in-game name of "Srpingfield" (sic) seems to have been a typo that slipped past the developers. Like a few other bolt-action rifles, it arbitrarily only loads via single cartridges rather than a clip.

The Shitotsubakurai or Lunge Mine is a conical hollow charge anti-tank mine, placed inside a metallic container and attached to the end of a wooden stick. It is used in the first few minutes of the first mission by soldier Vinh, who charges an M8 Greyhound at the gates of Hotel Metropole. The weapon is a suicidal anti-tank weapon, with the user dying in the explosion though Vinh manages to survive using it.
