+ | '''''Assassin's Creed Unity''''' is the eighth part of the ''Assassin's Creed'' series. Like its predecessors, it belongs to the action-adventure genre. The game is set in 18th-century Paris at the time of the French Revolution and follows the main character, Arno Victor Dorian. The latter has French and Austrian ancestors. In his youth he suffered a heavy loss: both his biological father and stepfather died under mysterious circumstances. Arno was falsely framed for the murder of his stepfather, which is why he was locked up in the Bastille, from which he escaped together with an assassin during the storming of the Bastille. Later it turns out that his stepfather was a high-ranking Templar, and so was his daughter Élise, with whom Arno had fallen in love. After escaping from the Bastille, he joins the Assassins to uncover the true forces behind the French Revolution.
+ | |||
+ | Throughout the game, as in the other ''Assassin's Creed'' parts, the player will meet some historical characters such as Maximilien de Robespierre, the Marquis de Sade, as well as Napoléon Bonaparte, and many others. In addition to the familiar sneak passages, for which the cover system has once again been reworked so that Arno can now move freely while sneaking, the action-packed battles also return in a revised form. In addition to a sword and a pistol, Arno can also use the new Phantom Blade, which can shoot berserkers and normal blades, a combination of the classic hidden blade and a small crossbow.

− | American Flintlock is a four-barrel turnover flintlock Pistol. | + | American Flintlock is a four-barrel turnover flintlock Pistol. Despite its name, the American Flintlock is actually based on a three-barrel turnover pistol made in Augsburg allegedly in 1775, more specifically the Denix-produced four-barrel replica which itself appears to be a hybrid consisting of the grip of the 1775 Augsburg pistol and the four barrels of a 1750 made Augsburg pistol shown in the old gun's magazine ''Deutsches Waffen-Journal''. This would appear to contradict the lore in ''Assassin's Creed'' canon that the firearm is of American origin. |

Assassin's Creed Unity is the eighth part of the Assassin's Creed series.
Throughout the game, as in the other Assassin's Creed parts, the player will meet some historical characters such as Maximilien de Robespierre, the Marquis de Sade, as well as Napoléon Bonaparte, and many others.
The following weapons appear in the video game Assassin's Creed Unity:
Flintlock Pistols
Various types of flintlock pistols are available.
Denix Kentucky Flintlock Pistol
The Denix-produced replica of the Kentucky Flintlock pistol appears simply as the "Pistol". Is used by various characters and as a ranged weapon of most enemies. Is also incorrectly used by the Gendarmerie in the "Belle Epoque: Data Harvest" side mission instead of the more correct MAS 1873 revolver.
Officer's Pistol
Officer's Pistol is a double-barrel flintlock Pistol.
American Flintlock
American Flintlock is a four-barrel turnover flintlock Pistol. Despite its name, the American Flintlock is actually based on a three-barrel turnover pistol made in Augsburg allegedly in 1775, more specifically the Denix-produced four-barrel replica which itself appears to be a hybrid consisting of the grip of the 1775 Augsburg pistol and the four barrels of a 1750 made Augsburg pistol shown in the old gun's magazine Deutsches Waffen-Journal. This would appear to contradict the lore in Assassin's Creed canon that the firearm is of American origin.
Arno's Pistol
Arno's Pistol is a six-barrel flintlock Pistol. However, the distinctive angled body is reminiscent of 16th-century wheellock pistols.
Fancy Pistol
Fancy Pistol actually based on a 1706 Queen Anne Dragoon Pistol.
Pepper Shot
Pepper Shot is a six-barrel flintlock Pistol. It is mostly based on English-style percussion pepperbox revolving pistols of the 1830/40s such as the ones made by Cogswell, Smith of London, or Piper of Cambridge. However, the fact that the pistol is depicted with both a flintlock mechanism and percussion caps shows that the modeler wasn't aware of the working principles of percussion weapons.
Three-Shot Duck Foot
Three-Shot Duck Foot actually a three-barrel Nock Flintlock Pistol.
Gold-Plated Pistol
A gold-Plated Pistol is a nine-barrel flintlock Pistol.
Five-Shot Duck Foot
Five-Shot Duck Foot actually a five-barrel Nock Flintlock Pistol.
Pitcairn-Putnam's Pistol
Pitcairn-Putnam's Pistol actually a Scottish all-steel Christie & Murdoch Flintlock.
Solid Long Gun
Solid Long Gun actually based on ivory-stocked Dutch flintlock pistols of the 17th century, particularly the ones crafted by Dutch gunmaker Leonardus Graeff. What appears to be the same model, but is depicted being made of maple instead of ivory is featured in the "Underground Armory Pack" as the "French Cavalry Pistol".
Quick To Reload Over Under Pistol
A double barrel flintlock boxlock pistol with an underslung folding bayonet is featured as the "Quick To Reload Over Under Pistol".
Parade Pistol
The Parade Pistol featured in the "Secrets of the Revolution" pack is based on the pair of ornate flintlock pistols made by Nicolas Noel Boutet for Joachim Murat. These pistols were made in Versailles in 1805-1810 therefore the design is anachronistic for the French Revolution setting of Unity.
Harper's Ferry Flintlock
The same Harper's Ferry Flintlock from Assassin's Creed III and Assassin's Creed IV is seen being used by Élise de la Serre in cutscenes and gameplay, besides other characters. Its appearance in the French Revolution is anachronistic as the first model was not made until 1805.
Blunderbusses
Various types of blunderbusses are available.
Flintlock
Flintlock is a first blunderbuss.
Blunderbuss
Blunderbuss Gun actually an English 1766 Blunderbuss Flintlock.
Officer's Blunderbuss
Officer's Blunderbuss.
Woodplate Blunderbuss
Woodplate Blunderbuss.
The Iron Dragon
The Iron Dragon.
Muskets & Rifles
Various types of muskets and rifles are available.
Brown Bess Musket
The "Flint Musket", "Rifle" and, "National Guard Musket" are actually the Brown Bess Flintlock Musket. While the "Rifle" and "National Guard Musket" are only purchasable by the player, the "Flint Musket" is used by Patriots sharpshooters, and also incorrectly used by Wehrmacht Feldgendarmerie (military police) soldiers in the "Occupied Paris: Covert" side mission instead of a more appropriate Kar98k.
Charleville Musket
The "Sharpshooter Flintlock" appears to be based on a Charleville Musket but it is depicted with a weird elongated flintlock plate and only one barrel hoop.
Flintlock Axe
The Guillotine Guns are based on 17th-18th century flintlock axes, however, the trigger guard is inaccurately stylized as the triggers of matchlock weapons. Full sized prop was later also made for the movie adaptation.
Hybrid Flintlock Musket
The Brown Bess/Enfield Pattern 1853/Kentucky Flintlock Rifle hybrid musket from Assassin's Creed III appears as a non-playable weapon during cutscenes.
Jäger Rifle
The "Solid Long Rifle" is actually a German Jäger rifle.
Jezail musket
The Jezail Musket appears as the "Long Rifle".
Kentucky Flintlock Rifle
What appears to be a Kentucky Flintlock Rifle with barrel bands and a bayonet is seen hanging on the walls of the training room inside the Café Théâtre. This flintlock rifle is also carried by Parisian citizens.
Martini-Henry
The "Silver-Plated Musket" is actually a Martini-Henry rifle, which was first produced in 1871, being anachronistic by circa eight decades.
Maple Hunting Rifle
The Maple Hunting Rifle is an ornate sporting flintlock gun with maple wood stock.
Others
2 cm KwK 30
During the "Occupied Paris" missions, several German Panzer II light tanks can be seen, complete with their mounted KwK 30 autocannons.
Fuse Grenade
The in-game smoke bombs appear to be based on fuse grenades.
Gribeauval Cannon
What appears to be 12-pounder Gribeauval cannons appear as a prop in various locations.
MG 34
Arno uses two MG 34s in the time anomaly to shoot down three German Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighters. The in-game model is equipped with a 50-round drum, 5mm shield, and anti-aircraft sight.
