Actually you are right. The guns were BUILT from original A1s. I've handled the guns and (courtesy of Mike Papac of Cinema Weaponry) I photographed the screen used gun carried by Mel Gibson. The REAL XM16E1s have a partial magazine fencing, the A1s have full magazine fencing. regards MoviePropMaster2008 22:25, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
