I am a United States Marine, no longer active duty due to injuries sustained during my service. These days I draw, I play guitar (to the extent that my less-than-dexterous, not really correctly healed hands and what little, fledgling talent I possess allow, at any rate), and I write. It's the writing part that eventually caused me to stumble upon this particular site, and I've used it extensively since the evening I found it.

I figured that since I rely upon the site so heavily for quick, topical info and visual guidance on such a wide array of weaponry for research, and to help identify all the pretty, pretty toys I see on the various screens I watch when I don't recognize them on my own, it only seemed right that I sign up. I would like to be able to help out where I can, if I see something that is incorrect or missing, though I have no plans to go tear-assing through pages making bulkhead-to-bulkhead changes. I think I've only seen one or two mistakes so far in all my time digging through the site, and I think those were only grammatical in nature. I would offer help in a financial manner if I could, but the VA and Social Security Disability give me about enough to survive on, and that's about it. So, I'll do what I can to aid the site by contributing what knowledge I may have to offer (if I see any spots where I have any that isn't already posted) or by picking up on the mistakes of others, in hopes that whatever mistakes I may make get picked up in turn.

It isn't much, I know, but I'm determined to do SOMETHING to give back, even if it's not much more than proofreading and red-penning someone else's labor. Hopefully that's worth something in the long run, and hopefully I can give some sort of real contribution in future. Either way, I love this site and I want to help in making it continue to succeed.
