Tears of April
Tears of April (Finnish title: Käsky; which means Order) is a 2008 movie directed by Aku Louhimies. Set in Finland during the Civil War of 1918: The newly gained independence from Russia must be defended with weapons, a fight that divides the country into two camps - "Red" and "White." Miina Malin fights with a women's militia for the Russians, while the young soldier Aaro marches on the Finnish side. As the Red Guards around Miina fall into the hands of the Finns, Aaro has to watch helplessly as the women are first raped and then executed without trial. Only Miina survives. She will be handed over to Aaro, who is campaigning for fair treatment, and will be presented to military judge Hallenberg. On their journey together there are romantic feelings between Miina and Aaro.
