M16 variants

I don't think the gun used by the DEA is an M16A1, as it has a slabside lower and looks like it has a thicker A2 or HBAR style barrel (along with an A2 flash hider which is attached crooked). Features wise I think in is a match for an early model Colt AR-15A2 Sporter II:

I think that the "M16A1 Rifle" used by cartel soldiers may also be one of these with A1 handguards as it also looks like it has the thicker barrel and appears to lack magazine release fencing, but it is hard to tell for sure from this shot. --commando552 (talk) 07:47, 8 September 2016 (EDT)

I concur on both counts, also pretty sure it's a Mini Uzi and not a full size, the barrel is shorter and forend clearly looks stubbier. StanTheMan (talk) 16:56, 8 September 2016 (EDT)
