Flintlock Pistol

In a tribute to nearly all pirate films, Flintlock Pistols are commonly used firearms. Long John Silver (Lance Henriksen) carries it throughout the movie. Jim Hawkins (Tom Nagel) is given another one from John. Captain Smollete (James Ferris) and Wilkins (Rhett Giles) fire Flintlock Pistols at pirates. Ben Gunn (Leigh Scott) unsuccessfully uses it in an attempt to take revenge. Billy Bones (Justin Jones) fires it at the film's beginning. Captain Flint (Chriss Anglin) and several pirates use Flintlock Pistols as well.

Pocket-sized Flintlock Pistols. Because Flintlock Pistols were occasionally carried in multiples to bypass their lengthy reload times, they allowed for possibly the earliest form of Akimbo shooting and/or the "New York Reload" technique.

In several scenes heavily anachronistic Percussion Cap Pistols are seen. They are used by Wilkins (Rhett Giles), Dr. Livesley (Jeff Denton), Yee (Andrea Lui), John Silver (Lance Henriksen) and several pirates.
