I Soliti Idioti (literally "The Usual Idiots") is a 2011 Italian comedy film based on the TV show of the same name. The film deals with Ruggero De Ceglie (Fabrizio Biggio), a corrupt Guardia di Finanza (a police force dealing with financial crimes and tax evasion) officer that tricks his honest son Gianluca De Ceglie (Francesco Mandelli) into getting in bed with a beautiful top model called "Smutandattissima" (literally "Without-underwear-est"), interpreted by Mădălina Diana Ghenea, by pretending to be dying of a terminal disease in order to win a bet and make his son "a real man". The film spanned two sequel called I 2 Soliti Idioti, while another sequel called I Soliti Idioti 3: Il ritorno was released in 2024.

Gianluca holds the Beretta (with his finger of the trigger, surprisingly), surprised of finding one in the glove box, and proceeding to identify it as a "pistol", before being scolded by his father for not being really bright.
