Carandiru
Carandiru is a 2003 Argentine-Brazilian drama film directed by Héctor Babenco. It is based on the 1999 book Estação Carandiru (English: Carandiru Station) by Dr. Drauzio Varella, a doctor and specialist in AIDS, who is represented by Luiz Carlos Vasconcelos in the film.
Carandiru tells some of the stories that occurred in the Carandiru penitentiary, which was one of the largest prisons in Latin America. The stories and struggles of the characters all lead up to the 1992 Carandiru massacre, where 111 prisoners died, of which 102 were killed by the police. The film was the last thing the prison was used for before its demolition in 2002, a year before the film's release.
This film won, among other awards, the India Catalina for best film at the Cartagena Film Festival in 2004.
The following weapons were used in the film Carandiru:

Colt Detective Special
A Colt Detective Special is seen in Zico's (Wagner Moura) bag. One is used by Ebony's (Ivan de Almeida) accomplice to try to kill him after a robbery. Majesty (Ailton Graça) uses one to scare away Dalva's boyfriend.
Smith & Wesson Model 10
Zico provides a nickel Smith & Wesson Model 10 when Deusdete (Caio Blat) asks for a weapon, which he uses to kill thugs. One is also used by a Polícia Militar do Estado de São Paulo (São Paulo State Military Police, PMESP) officer during the riot.

During the mutiny several PMESP officers carry TEC-9- an odd choice as Brazil (nor any government in the entire world) has ever officially issued a TEC-9 to their military or police forces.
FMK-3
During the massacre, several military police officers use the FMK-3. This weapon was never adopted by any military or police force in Brazil.

Some of the policemen use an unknown AR-15 style carbine during the massacre.
