|
Arisaka is a 2021 Filipino thriller-drama film. The film stars Maja Salvador as Mariano, the lone survivor of a politician's police escort team ambushed by a squad of corrupt police officers. The film follows her as she follows the Bataan Death March on a journey to escape her attackers and bring them to justice.

Bolt-Action Rifles
Arisaka Type 99
The titular Arisaka Type 99 is acquired and used by Mariano (Maja Salvador) in the film's climax. It is also seen earlier in a dream sequence where it is held by Japanese soldiers (Mark Angelo Lozano and Boris Erandio). The rifle has a bent bolt and is equipped with an unused monopod. Of note is that the rifle's name is never mentioned throughout the film, despite the film being named after it.
