Arisaka is a 2021 action thriller film starring Maja Salvador as Mariano, the lone survivor of a politician's police escort team ambushed by a squad of corrupt cops led by a criminal as retaliation against the politician's exposure of their actions. After surviving the ambush, she follows the Bataan Death March on a journey to escape her attackers and bring them to justice.

Arisaka Type 99
The titular Arisaka Type 99 is acquired and used by Mariano (Maja Salvador) in the film's climax. It is also seen earlier in a dream sequence where it is held by Japanese soldiers (Mark Angelo Lozano and Boris Erandio). The rifle has a bent bolt and is equipped with a monopod which goes unused. A fact worth noting is that the rifle is never referred to by its name throughout the entire movie, despite the movie being named after it.
