Walking Tall is a 1973 action drama directed by Phil Karlson, a semi-biopic of Sheriff Buford Pusser, a professional wrestler turned lawman. Joe Don Baker appears in the main role. The movie was followed by two sequels: Walking Tall Part 2 (1975) and Walking Tall: Final Chapter (1977), both starring Bo Svenson. In 2004 a remake, starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, was made. In turn it was followed by two sequels: Walking Tall: The Payback and Walking Tall: Lone Justice (both 2007).

M1911-style

In one scene a female assassin fires a pair of pistols at Buford Pusser. Due to darkness, lit only by muzzle flashes, one of the pistols is seen only marginally, and another one appears to be an M1911-style.

Pre-War Colt M1911A1 - Commercial Model known as the "Colt Government Model" - .45 ACP. This has a deep Colt factory blued finish, common for commercial variants before and after the war.
