To-Do

  • Wiki-Wide
    • Templatization of IMFDB Tables? Or just make them cleaner in general
    • More QoL propositions (true DB-ification of IMFDB? To automatically generate media appearance tables)
    • Identify and delete zero-width character + line break combo
  • Media pages
    • Fixing ", The".
    • Mobile gaming curation proposal
    • Really, user-translated names?
  • Gun pages
    • Wuzh vs. Small Arms Illustrated (mark every SAI image as being an SAI photoshop)
    • Reorganize break-action weapon pages (where do i even start)
    • Better name for AKMSU?
    • Need some expert opinions on ludicrously specific topics like European blank-firing gun manufacturers or Asian airsoft manufacturers
    • Norinco vs Norinco Group. Exported by Norinco or made by Norinco Group?
    • I messed up the Galil ACE identifications.
    • Samurai Edge individual page maybe? At least do something about the janky Beretta 96 page.
  • Main Page
    • A site description
    • A better Featured Articles section
    • A Did you know section
    • Sister projects section
    • Links to other areas of IMFDB (e.g. Discord)
  • Manufacturer pages
    • Companies have... "Specifications"?
    • Complete CSGC and Norinco some day
    • Chinese provincial military industries is uhhhhh

Chinese Gun Name Notes

  • XY likely refers to Yunnan Xiyi Industrial Co Ltd (formerly Factory 356).
  • N prefix presumably means "Norinco" (branded by the export company, not necessarily manufactured by Norinco Group)
  • CS likely means China South
  • CF almost certainly refers to Chang Feng
  • Emei is an export brand name of Jianshe
  • SDM is a brand of Italian importer Prima Armi S.r.l.
  • "BAM" logo refers to Jiangsu Xinsu Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
