The World of Kanako (Japanese. 渇き。 Kawaki., lit. "thirst.") is a 2014 Japanese crime Thriller.
The following weapons were used in the film The World of Kanako:
Smith & Wesson Model 586
The main firearm of the Akikazu Fujishima (Kôji Yakusho) is the Smith & Wesson Model 586. He uses it many times throughout the movie.
Smith & Wesson Model 586 with 4" barrel - .357 Magnum
Fujishima draws his revolver...
... and fires it. Looks like, that unlike most Japanese movie, this is real firearm.
Close view of the cylinder.
Good view of the S&W logo.
Smith & Wesson Model 36
Detective Asai (Satoshi Tsumabuki), Detective Aikawa (Jô Odagiri) and many policemen can be see armed with snub nose Smith & Wesson Model 36 revolvers. These may be a stand-in for the Nambu Model 60 revolvers used by uniformed Japanese prefectural police officers, although many detectives and officers of the National Police Agency in Japan use the S&W Model 36 in real life as well.

Aikawa holds his revolver.
Close-up of the Model 36, showing its distinguishing barrel and front sight shape.
The Model 36 glints in the sun, showing its glossy blued finish compared to the Nambu's dull parkerizing. The slender butt with its lack of lanyard ring is also just visible here as well.
Police takes aim with their revolvers.
M1911A1
Detective Aikawa (Jô Odagiri) fires M1911A1 pistol at the a few moments.
Pre-War Colt M1911A1 Pistol - Commercial Model known as the "Colt Government Model" - .45 ACP. This has a deep Colt factory blued finish, common for commercial variants before and after the war.
Note the slide moving and empty casing, that means, that's real gunshot.
Slide locks back after the last round.
