The Great Outdoors is a 1988 comedy directed by Howard Deutch (The Whole Ten Yards) and stars John Candy and Dan Aykroyd.
The following weapons were used in the film The Great Outdoors:
12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun
During a flashback, Chet Ripley (John Candy) uses a 12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun to shoot the man-eating bear in the head. The shotgun appears to have exposed hammers when on the mantel, but appears to be hammerless when fired.
Lamp shotgun
A double-barrel shotgun made into a lamp appears in the lodge lobby. The shotgun is later used by Wally (Robert Prosky) to chase off the man-eating bear by shooting it in the behind.
