Walther PP

Evert Gullberg (Hans Alfredson) takes a Walther PP to the hospital and uses it to kill Alexander Zalachenko (Georgi Staykov) before comiting suicide after failing to kill Lisbeth Salander (Noomi Rapace). The gun in the book was described as a "Smith & Wesson 9mm witha gold plated butt".

A guard outside the courthouse caries an Heckler & Koch MP5A2 fitted with an Aimpoint sight and Surefire forend.

Some police guarding the courthouse carry Heckler & Koch MP5A3 submachine guns fited with Aimpoint sights and Surefire forends. A SÄPO raid team are seen using them as well when they raid the Zalachenko Club's headquarters.

One of the Nikolic brothers uses a SA Vz.61 Skorpion with the stock removed and an extended barrel in the the attepted hit on Mikael Blomkvist (Michael Nyqvist) at Samir's Gryta. In the book, the gun used in the hit was a Carl Gustav M/45.

When members of the Svavelsjo Motorcylce Club go to kill Niedermann, one of them carries a shotgun with a top-folding stock, probaly either a Franchi SPAS-12 or a Remington Model 870 Shotgun
