The Battleship Island (Korean title: 군함도, Gunhamdo; lit. "Gunkanjima"/"Battleship Island") is a 2017 Korean action-drama war film directed by Ryoo Seung-wan. Set during the Second World War, the film follows the imprisonment and slavery of a group of over 400 Koreans by the Imperial Japanese on the manmade Battleship Island / Gunkanjima, an artificial island off the coast of Japan, and their escape from their Japanese captors.

Handguns
Nambu Type 14
In his confrontation with Yoon Hak-chul, Park Moo-young (Song Joong-ki) aims a late-model Nambu Type 14 to his head. Hak-chul later takes the gun for himself.
Type 94 Pistol
A Japanese officer in the film's climax is seen using a Type 94 pistol. It is later taken and used by Lee Kang-ok (Hwang Jung-min).
Mauser C96
Yamada (Kim Joong-hee) uses a Mauser C96 in the movie's climax.
Rifles
Arisaka Type 38
The Arisaka Type 38 is the standard rifle of most of the Japanese characters throughout the movie. The rifle is also used by the Koreans, most notably in the film's climax.
Arisaka Type 30
Some of the Japanese officers seen throughout the movie are equipped with the Arisaka Type 30.
Prop Rifles
