Not all mock-up pistols is IZh-18

Maybe, I'm wrong, but it's seems, that at least one of the mocked-up pistols isn't IZh-18 (or IZh-17), or maybe mocked-up more quality, than other fake pistols. Also (crazy guess, but still possible) this pistol is similar (maybe, only for me) to genuine Belgian E.I.C. flintlock pistol. I know, that it's very unlikely, that Belgian pistol appears in Soviet movie, but it's teoreticaly hase a little chanse. Despute this pistol most likely a mock-up, it's lack the typical spur on the trigger guard. But, I couldn't say is it the different gun, that IZh or this part just was sawed-off like barrel and buttstock.

I think that you are right, this is a genuine Belgian EIC pistol. Don't know what was the way of this gun to the film studio, but possibly it was an exhibit in some private collection that was later requisitioned. Greg-Z (talk) 09:26, 27 October 2017 (EDT)

Also, (It's only my guess and it absolutely couldn't be proved), several mocked up muskets with a fake muzzle "Rastrub" were mocked up as blunderbuss not as musket.

Maybe, it's just optical illusion, but, this fake "rastrub" are vaguely resembles the same part of blunderbuss (maybe, just for me).

I don't think that it resembles a blanderbuss. The widened muzzle more likely imitates a real feature of some muskets. It allows to load the gun more quick, throwing the bullet into the barrel, in unstable conditions, like on the deck of a ship. 07:53, 28 October 2017 (EDT)

One more strange pistol

As it can be seen, three pistols are seen hanged on the wall (at the far right). The top one seems to be percussion, the bottom one seems to be flintlock, but, I means the center one. Maybe, it's just optical illusion, but it's hase some reeses of wheellock. This part of the screenshot is to dark, so I can't say is the visible part of the lock are closely located hammer and freezen (of flintlock mechanisme) or it's the single part of wheellock (known as the "dog").

As for me, it's optical illusion, and all three pistols belong to the same pattern. They have same frame and grip. Maybe some parts of flintlock are broken. Greg-Z (talk) 07:53, 28 October 2017 (EDT)
