Why? Just...why? A sub-machine gun and an assault rifle are different, separate weapons. Mounting one underneath the other, is in my mind as pointless as a laser sight on a knife. (And yes, that does exist).
- Not sure it's even being portrayed as a submachine gun (maybe it's supposed to be a grenade launcher?), but this weapon concept is an example of the movie's over-the-top tone.
