Help identifying weapon

Mason uses the same rifle throughout the movie but you can see the scope comes and goes

Incomplete Summary

Briggs Laurence Fishburne leads a colony of subterranean survivors after the breakdown of weather machines used to combat global warming have caused the next ice age. After receiving an SOS call from a colony of their allies and then no further communication, a group of three Briggs, Sam Kevin Zegers and Graydon Atticus Dean Mitchell go to investigate. Upon arriving at the neighboring colony they find blood and dead bodies everywhere and only one survivor who's locked himself in a secure room, but he isn't alone in the colony.
