The NYPD never authorized the S&W Model 13 for officers. The NYPD never authorized .357 magnum. The S&W Model 10 Heavy Barrrel in 38 special was authorized. In the late eighties a New York City uniformed officer would have been carrying either the Model 10, Model 64, or the Ruger Police Six. I made the correction. Clancey Brown's character using a S&W Model 66 is nothingmore than the filmakers wanting him to have a "cool" revolver. In reality he probably would have been carrying either a Model 64/10 with 2" barrel or with a 3" barrel. Personally I think that a 3" Model 10/64 would have been very impressive looking, but what do I know.  --[[User:Jcordell|Jcordell]] 20:00, 18 May 2010 (UTC)

:The Model 66 used by Clancy was a wild ass guess by me. It's better than leaving it as unknown. I added the distant shot of the gun back on the page, not sure who took it off. --[[User:Predator20|Predator20]] 21:04, 18 May 2010 (UTC)

The gun that Turner takes from the other cop looks like it could be a Smith & Wesson Model 65, as does her first gun in some of the pictures. --Ruzhyo 15:40, 4 May 2010 (UTC)

Well since neither gun is stainless I'll go with Model 13. - Kooshmeister 10:54 4 2010

Whoops. Not enough caffine makes my eyes not work. Good catch.--Ruzhyo 16:04, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
