Riptide

Riptide was an action-adventure series that aired on NBC from 1984 to 1986. Perry King and Joe Penny as Cody and Nick starred in the series as two Army veterans who run a private detective agency based out of a Southern California marina aboard a boat named Riptide. They are assisted by an expert computer hacker (Thom Bray) whom they met in the military. provided the "muscle" as Cody Allen and Nick Ryder, while Nerdy Thom Bray provided the brains and comic relief as computer expert Murray "Boz" Bozinsky. One of the notable aspects of the show was the bright pink Korean War era Sikorsky S-58 helicopter named "Screaming Mimi" flown by Nick.

The M16/SP1 is seen used by Cody and Nick throughout the series.
