Peace to Him Who Enters (Mir vkhodyashchemu) is a Soviet 1961 B&W war drama directed by Aleksandr Alov and Vladimir Naumov. The plot is set in May 1945, during the last days of the WWII in Europe. A young Soviet officer, just graduated from military school, and a shell-shocked soldier help a pregnant German woman to get to the hospital. The child is born on the first peaceful day.
The film received the Special Jury Prize for Best Director and the Award for the best foreign film at the 22nd Venice International Film Festival.
