M61A2 Vulcan
The Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptors in the film are outfitted with M61A2 Vulcan 20mm guns mounted on their right wing roots.
An F-22 Raptor fires its M61A2 Vulcan cannons at a kaiju during the attack on Tokyo in one of Mako Mori's (Rinko Kikuchi) flashbacks.
Phalanx CIWS
An aircraft carrier carrying the remains of a defeated kaiju in the prologue can be seen fitted with Phalanx CIWS installations on one end of the aircraft carrier.
