His most notable works include Zhenya, Zhenechka i "Katyusha" (1967), Khronika pikiruyushchego bombardirovshchika (1967), Staraya, staraya skazka (1970), Zemlya Sannikova (1973), Priklyucheniya printsa Florizelya (1979). Oleg Dal died in 1981 from a heart attack, aged less then 40.
