After their route is disrupted, a Bolivian drug cartel plans a series of terror attacks against the Brazilian government; a group of intelligence agents is tasked with stopping them.

The production had support from the Brazilian government which provided real military equipment.

The following weapons were used in the film National Security:

Shotguns

Benelli M3 Super 90

A policeman is seen with a Benelli M3 Super 90 during the airstrip scene. The weapon is the same lenght as the "shorty" versions of the M3; but with the folding stock and sights of the M3T

Franchi SPAS 15

In a continuity error the weapon briefly turns into a SPAS 15.

A soldier readies himself to ambush the cartel members. The patch indicates he is from the Mountain Infantry Batallion (Although the scene takes place in a jungle).

IMBEL MD97

Paco Gasca (Javier Robles) uses a IMBEL MD-97 during the air battle scene. He fires it throught a fireport in the plane's window.

Paco fires at the Super Tucano
The fireport can be seen in this shot. This would probably compromise the structural integrity of the window and cause the plane to lose pressure (It's worth noting that in other shots the plane is shown flying above the clouds)

M16A2

Cartel gunmen use M16A2 rifles during the opening sequene. Paco uses a scoped M16A2 with two magazines taped together 'jungle style'.

A gunman fires the M16A2 at Brazilian soldiers; another one is shot and falls to the ground still holding the weapon
Paco aims the weapon at his target
