Misery (1990)

Misery is a 1990 horror thriller starring James Caan as a popular mystery novelist who, after suffering a terrible car crash, finds himself in the care of an obsessive fan of his novels. The film was directed by Rob Reiner and was based on a Stephen King novel. Kathy Bates would win an Academy Award for her portrayal of Annie Wilkes.
