Platforms: Playstation 3

Genre: Fighting

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is an upcoming video game of the Metal Gear Solid franchise. Originally imagined as a side-story detailing Raiden's actions during the events of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, it was abandoned by the original developers due to problems with implementing the ambitious sword-cutting mechanics and taken up by Platinum Games, with the plot moved to after MGS4 and the current gameplay implying it is now a more traditional hack-and-slash fighting game in the style of Bayonetta or Devil May Cry. The E3 trailer and demo, however, shows that the stealth element will still be retained to some extent. The game is scheduled to be released in Q1 2013 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 (in 3D).

The following weapons appear in the video game Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance:

FN F2000 Tactical

Customised FN F2000 Tacticals with AR-15-style front sights, Kalashnikov style gas blocks with AR-15 style front sights, and ACOG's are used by forces aligned with Raiden in the VGA 2011 trailer.

FN F2000 Tactical - 5.56x45mm NATO

Browning M2HB

A short-barreled Browning M2HB can be seen mounted on a robotic soldier's right arm in the E3 2010 trailer and a full-length one mounted on the APCs in the VGA 2011 trailer.

M67

The M67 makes a reappearance in Rising as a subweapon. Although the description implies that it is a new weapon, the icon is similar to the M67.

Rocket Propelled Grenade

The RPG makes a reappearance in Rising as a subweapon. It's specific make is unknown, although it strongly resembles the RPG-7. According to the description, it was customized. It can be utilized by Raiden as a procurable weapon, and can also be used by enemy cyborgs. A DPD officer also fired a rocket propelled grenade at Raiden's car at Denver, although Raiden apparently planned for this and sped up so he could be sent flying over the barricade behind them.

Electromagnetic grenade

A new grenade type in Revengeance. Based on its description, it acts as the cyborg equivalent of the stun grenades.

Missile Launcher

In some promotional spots, Raiden (and in one case, Boris), utilized a missile launcher that looked like a fusion between the FIM-92 Stinger and a wheel.

Handguns

Some DPD officers were seen aiming handguns at Raiden when surrounding him and his crashed car. Despite this, however, outside of one cop briefly firing on Raiden just prior to the police car chase earlier, they never actually use them, deciding instead, for whatever reason, to dish out lethal force on Raiden via electric batons instead of simply shooting him.
