Nice, but where's the trigger? This article or section is incomplete. You can help IMFDB by expanding it. |
The following weapons were used in Season 2 of the series Magnum P.I.:
Pistols
Colt Government Model
The main handgun used by Thomas Magnum (Tom Selleck) is a Colt MKIV/Series 70 Government Model, which is a commercial version of the U.S. Military M1911A1. This handgun is supposed to be the one he carried during his service in Vietnam and is sometimes carried in a tanker-style holster, most often seen carried inside wast band small of back, no holster. It is sometimes seen in Magnum's flashbacks to Vietnam. A former propmaster for the show has been quoted saying that the original gun was a traditional .45 ACP 1911, but was soon changed to a 9mm version because .45 ACP blanks were too hard to get on location for the show.
Revolvers
Colt Single Action Army
A Colt Single Action Army revolver is pulled by Billy Joe Bob Little (James Whitmore Jr.) in "Billy Joe Bob" (S2E01).
Smith & Wesson Model 15
The Smith & Wesson Model 15 is seen used by some HPD Officers as their service revolver.
Smith & Wesson Model 36
Henry Ellison (Jack Hogan) carries a Smith & Wesson Model 36 in "The Woman on the Beach" (S2E3).
Smith & Wesson Model 66
Katrina (Ann Dusenberry) shoots Higgins and later holds Margo (Mimi Rogers) at gunpoint with a stainless steel Smith & Wesson Model 66 (2½" bbl.) in "Italian Ice" (S2E16).
Rifles
M16
USAF airmen carry the original M16 rifle in "From Moscow to Maui" (S2E04). The rifle was only ever adopted by the Air Force, other branches would instead adopt the M16A1, featuring a forward assist.
M16A1
In the opening "Memories are Forever" (S2E05), several military police officers can be seen with M16A1 rifles at the American embassy in Saigon, South Vietnam (Now Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam).
Shotguns
Ithaca 37
A restaurant owner pulls out an Ithaca 37 when confronting Magnum in "Billy Joe Bob" (S2E01).
12 Gauge Over and Under shotgun
12 Gauge O/U shotguns are seen being used for skeet-shooting in "Tropical Madness" (S2E07).
Machine Guns
M60
In the opening of "Memories are Forever" (S2E05), a soldier can be seen with an M60.
M1919A4
In the opening of "Memories are Forever" (S2E05), a jeep can be seen with a mounted Browning M1919A4.
