Long Miles of War (Dolgie vyorsty voyny) is a Soviet 1975 made for TV war movie directed by Aleksandr Karpov and based on short stories by Vasil Bykov. Each of the three series of the movie tells about a small episode of war: the first one, The Cry of Cranes, tells about a small group of Soviet soldiers who defend a position in August 1941, the second one, The Rapid Attack, takes place in March 1942 and depict an attack of Soviet infantry company on German positions on a hilltop, and the third one, At Sunrise, takes place in May 1945 and tells about one of the last battles of the war. All three series are united by the main character of the movie, Lt. (later Sr. Lt. and Major) Konstantin Ananyev (Vadim Yakovlev).

Handguns
Tokarev TT-33
Various Soviet officers and petty officers carry Tokarev TT-33 pistols. They are mostly seen in holsters.
Walther P38
German officers are seen with Walther P38 pistols. Several Soviet officers carry captured Walthers.
Submachine Guns
PPD-40
A PPD-40 is carried by Lt. Ananyev (Vadim Yakovlev) in The Cry of Cranes until he gives it to Pvt. Klimchuk (Yuri Duvanov) who uses this SMG in battle. In the firing scenes PPD is substituted with a PPSh-41.
PPSh-41
Most Soviet soldiers in The Rapid Attack and At Sunrise are armed with PPSh-41 SMGs with drum magazines. In The Cry of Cranes a PPD-40 is substituted with PPSh in firing scenes.
PPS-43
A PPS-43 is used by Sgt. Orlov (Aleksandr Potapov) in At Sunrise. For a short time he gives it to Klimchuk (Yuri Duvanov).
MP40
Most German soldiers are armed with MP40 SMGs.
MP38
At least one MP38 is seen in The Cry of Cranes.
Rifles
Mosin Nagant M1891/30
Most Soviet soldiers in The Cry of Cranes carry Mosin Nagant M1891/30 rifles, often with bayonets.
Sturmgewehr 44
In The Rapid Attack a German soldier carries a weapon that is supposed to be a Sturmgewehr 44. It is seen very briefly and blurry.
Machine Guns
Degtyaryov DP-27
Degtyaryov DP-27 machine guns are widely used by Soviet soldiers.
MG34
German soldiers use MG34 machine guns in several scenes. Soviet soldiers also use captured MG34s.
Goryunov SG-43
A Goryunov SG-43 is briefly seen in The Rapid Attack. Due to unknown reason it is mounted not on wheeled mount but on a bipod. Such version is unknown in reality.
Goryunov SGMT
An SGMT machine gun is mounted on the AT-P armored tractor that appears as a German tank.
Kalashnikov PK
Anachronistic PK Machine Guns are mounted on fake German APCs in The Cry of Cranes.
Hand Grenades
RGD-33
Soviet soldiers are seen with RGD-33 hand grenades in The Cry of Cranes.
F-1
Soviet soldiers are seen with F-1 hand grenades in The Cry of Cranes.
