Lincoln is the 2012 historical drama directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Daniel Day-Lewis as President Abraham Lincoln and Sally Field as Mary Todd Lincoln. Set near the end of the US Civil War, the film follows Lincoln's efforts to pass the 13th Amendment, the amendment that would abolish slavery in the US. The film would be nominated for 12 Academy Awards and won 2, including Day-Lewis for Best Actor.
