Lawmen: Bass Reeves - Season 1 is a 2023 Western streaming series starring David Oyelowo as Bass Reeves, the first black US Deputy Marshal in United States history. Based on actual events, the series follows Reeves as an indentured servant to a Confederated colonel during the Civil War to his time apprehending outlaws for the Marshal service during Reconstruction. The series is being executive produced by Oyelowo and Taylor Sheridan and the cast includes Dennis Quaid, Shea Whigham, Barry Pepper and Donald Sutherland. The series premiered on the streaming service Paramount+ on November 5, 2023.

Double Barreled Percussion Shotgun
The Double-Barreled Percussion Shotgun is the firearm used by several characters in the series.
Rifles
Henry 1860
In "Part I"(S1E01), Col. George Reeves (Shea Whigham) pulls out what appears to be a Henry 1860 rifle and gives it to Bass to carry during a charge. Bass continues to use the rifle following the war.
=Winchester 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine
US Deputy Marshal Sherill Lynn (Dennis Quaid) is seen armed with what appears to be a Winchester 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine in "Part II" (S1E02).
Springfield 1861
All of the ConFederate soldiers can be seen carrying Springfield 1861 rifles during a battle in the American Civil War.
