Ishtar is a 1987 adventure comedy film written and directed by Elaine May and starring Warren Beatty and Dustin Hoffman as Lyle Rogers and Chuck Clarke, a pair of inept songwriters who accept a job in Morocco and unwittingly become involved in a government coup involving the CIA and the fictional country of Ishtar.
