In August of 1944 (Russian: V avguste 44-go / В августе 44-го) is a 2001 Russian-Belarusian World War II film about a team of Red Army counter-intelligence officers (SMERSH) who try to find a German radio operator behind Soviet lines. The film is directed by Mikhail Ptashuk and based on a story by Vladimir Bogomolov.
