Nice, but where's the trigger?

The world is over taken with a very deadly disease that turns humans into zombies. In Japan, several students of Fujimi High School, and the school nurse, band together to survive the present apocalypse. The story follows Takashi Komuro, one of the students who survived in the initial outbreak.

The following weapons were used in the anime High School of the Dead:

Handgun

Smith & Wesson Model 37

Takashi and Rei find two Smith & Wesson Model 37s on a pair of dead police officers, though one has it's handle broken. Takashi later hands the revolver to Kohta to compensate for his physical weakness. Several police officers are seen firing their M37s at zombies trying to breach their roadblocks and a senior officer executes a anarchist inciting a unruly mob on live television before the officer later commits suicide with his sidearm near other officers. The author comments on how the Nambu Model 60 was no longer the official sidearm for all Japanese police officers and therefore chose the Smith & Wesson to show the unique choice of weapon for each department.

SIG Sauer P226R

In episode 7, a Secret Service officer uses the pistol to gun down zombies trying to reach the wounded President and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs alongside a few remaining staff members. A male staff member is armed with the P226R to shoot the wounded Chairman in the head after he shows signs of zombification.

Shotguns

Ithaca M37

A Ithaca 37 is found in Minami's household after being stolen from a firearms locker which Takashi and Kohta broke into. Kohta initially uses it as his main weapon before handing it to Takashi. Saya uses the dropped M37 to fight the zombies at the wire blockade. Takashi later uses it a melee weapon after running away from the wire blockade in the anime series.

Rifles

Springfield Super Match M1A

A Springfield Super Match M1A is found in Minami's household with rails attached for a Surefire foregrip and an Aimpoint red dot sight. Rei handles the M1A as her main weapon. In episode 7, Takashi handles the rifle to snipe at zombies about to eat Rei. Hirano, like in the Manga, incorrectly calls it an M1A1 with the extra 1 number.

Armalite AR-10 A4

A Armalite AR-10 A4 is found in Minami's household that has been converted to a Knight's Armament SR-25. Kohta uses it as his primary weapon. The author comments Minami seduced an American soldier to import the illegal rifle into Japan via the American military air service avoiding customs.
