The following weapons were used in Season 2 of the television series Hell on Wheels:

Handguns

Colt 1851 Navy (Brass Frame)

In "The Railroad Job" (S2E05), fallen gunmen still holding their revolers. These appear to be brass-framed copies of the Colt 1851 Navy revolver, which did not exist until the Italians started making them during the 1960s.

Colt 1860 Army

A Colt 1860 Army is used throughout the series. The 1860 was the most common handgun in the United States at the time, most had a brass trigger guard (see photo), they were not manufactured with a brass frame like the Griswold above.

(S2E01).

Rifles

Sharps 1874

In "Scabs" (S2E04), Bohannon uses a a "long rifle" to shoot a railroad worker tortured by the Sioux. The rifle seen appears to be a Sharps 1874 fitted with a Malcolm-style scope, which is again a problem of dating since the railroad was completed in 1869 and the 1874 model came . . . well . . . later.

Uberti Sharps 1874 Special - .45-70 caliber
In "Scabs" (S2E04), Bohannon takes aim with what appears to be a Sharps 1874 long rifle with Malcolm-style model scope.
In "Scabs" (S2E04), a closer look at the sight.

Henry 1860

In "Scabs" (S2E04), a Henry rifle is seen used.

Machine Guns

Gatling Gun

A Gatling gun is used to defend the bridge in "Blood Moon Rising" (S2E10).
