The Game of Death is a Hong Kong martial arts movie starring Bruce Lee. Lee started working on the movie in 1972, however he got an offer to star in Enter the Dragon, so he stopped working on Game of Death. Although he intented to finish the movie, he died suddenly in 1973. The movie was finished in 1978 by Robert Clouse (the director of Enter the Dragon) using the footage which Bruce Lee shot in 1972, and using a look-alike for the other scenes. It should be noted however, that the story of the finished movie is different from the original story written by Bruce Lee.

Game of Death (1978)

The Game of Death is a Hong Kong martial arts movie starring Bruce Lee. Lee started working on the movie in 1972, however he got an offer to star in Enter the Dragon, so he stopped working on Game of Death. Although he intended to finish the movie, he died suddenly in 1973. The movie was finished in 1978 by Robert Clouse (the director of Enter the Dragon) using the footage which Bruce Lee shot in 1972, and using a look-alike for the other scenes. It should be noted however, that the story of the finished movie is different from the original story written by Bruce Lee.

In the movie Bruce Lee is Billy Lo, an actor who becomes the target of the mob after he refuses a contract. After an attempt on his life Billy fakes his death (using actual footage of Bruce Lee's funeral) and goes to Macau to get the head of the mobsters, Dr. Land (Dean Jagger).

The following guns can be seen in the movie The Game of Death:

Smith & Wesson Model 19

Stick (Mel Novak) tries to kill Billy during the shooting of a scene with a Smith & Wesson Model 19.

Smith & Wesson Model 19, 6 inch barrel - .357 Magnum
Stick loads the S&W revolver with a real bullet instead of the blank he is given.
Stick shoots Billy.

Webley Mk. II

Ann (Coleen Camp) has a Webley Mk. II in her bag when she tells Jim (Gig Young) on the phone, that she'll kill Dr. Land. Later Jim takes the gun away from her.

Webley Mk. II - .455 Webley
Ann opens her bag, revealing the Webley revolver.

Smith & Wesson Model 10

When Ann is at the martial arts tournament in Macau, she pulls out a S&W Model 10 to kill Dr. Land and Stick, but Billy, who is disguised as an old man prevents her from doing it. There seems to be a continuity error here, since she was a Webley Mark II revolver in scenes both before and after this scene.

Smith & Wesson Model 10 Revolver - .38 Special
Ann starts to pull out a S&W Model 10 revolver from her bag.

Arisaka Type 99

Some of the extras carry Arisaka rifles at the shooting of the movie, when Stick tries to kill Billy.
