Fortitude is a British psychological thriller series set in the fictional Arctic settlement of Fortitude in Svalbard, Norway.

Season 1 sees the seemingly peaceful towns international community rocked to the core by a series of brutal murders, with the subsequent investigation revealing the dark secrets and demons of many of the residents. Season 3 starts nine weeks after the events of the previous season, and as the final season serves as a resolution to the series. It sees other new characters played by Aliette Opheim and Maria Schrader as Elsa Schenthal and Detective Chief Inspector Ingemar Myklebust.
