Escape to Athena (1979)

Escape to Athena is a 1979 WWII action film starring Elliott Gould, Richard Roundtree, Sonny Bono, Claudia Cardinale, and Stephanie Powers as a group of resistance fighters and POW's who fight to escape a German-occupied Greek island while plotting to recover hidden treasure. The film is notable for featuring three actors who had appeared in James Bond films: David Niven as archaeologist Professor Blake, Roger Moore as Major Otto Hecht, and Telly Savalas as Zeno, the monk turned resistance fighter. The film was directed by George P. Cosmatos, who would later direct Rambo: First Blood Part II.
