This article is about the television series. For the film, see Jesse Stone: Death in Paradise.
Death in Paradise is a BBC detective drama series aired since January 2011. The show is set on the small fictional Caribbean island of Saint Marie, where a power-sharing agreement between the British and French governments leads to a British Detective Inspector being appointed to run the police station in the island's capital of Honore. The show takes on a more light-hearted tone compared to typical gritty BBC detective dramas, using the "locked room" format of classic murder mystery detective stories. It is aired at the beginning of the year so as to help relieve the January blues.

In "Political Suicide" (S03E05), a crate of illegal guns is opened on a boat, including at least two Glock 17s.
Smith & Wesson Model 29
In "Political Suicide" (S03E05), government minister Jacob Doran (Simon Shepherd) is found shot after an apparent suicide with a Smith & Wesson Model 29 revolver near his hand.

In "Political Suicide" (S03E05), a crate of illegal guns is opened on a boat, including several AK-47s. In S12E02, army veteran Charlie Banks has illegally imported a number of AK-47s, which he has stashed in a crate.
