M24 Sniper Rifle

The M24 sniper rifle is carried by Domingo Chavez (Raymond Cruz). It is shown fitted with a silencer & camo paint scheme and makes its' first appearance in the shooting range scene, and then can be spotted in a few of the scenes involving the reciprocity team on its mission. Finally it is used in the scenes following the ambush of the reciprocity team.

At least two members of the reciprocity-team carry M16A2's. One of the members of the team also has an M203 grenade launcher attached to it. The soldiers participating in the search-and-evade exercise involving Chavez are also equipped with M16A2's.

Browning M1919

Several Browning M1919 machine guns can be seen mounted on Colombian military police jeeps in the scenes where Dr. Jack Ryan (Harrison Ford) first arrives in Colombia, and when the ill-fated diplomatic convoy leaves the airport.

Uzi

Several Uzi's are seen in the movie in the hands of Colombian motorcycle police, and also some of Ernesto Escobedo (Miguel Sandoval)'s men, including one with an extended barrel. Also, the bouncer of the nightclub where the pilot is recruited from can be seen holding an Uzi.

Mini Uzi

Several members of the diplomatic convoy in Colombia can be seen using Mini Uzis when they are ambushed, as well as one of Escobedo's men when Ryan meets with him.

H&K MP5A3 and MP5K

The H&K MP5K is carried by U.S. security personnel during the car ambush scene. Felix Cortez (Joaquim de Almeida) and several of Escobedo's men also carry them during the final scenes in which Cortez hunts the escaping protagonists. The H&K MP5A3 is carried by Chavez, and it can be seen in at least in two scenes: firstly when Chavez plants a bomb on the drug-runner's plane, and secondly when he scouts the insides of a drug factory. Chavez's MP5A3 is also equipped with a silencer. Several of Escobedo's men can also be seen with MP5A3's.

Sig Sauer P226

Several members of the diplomatic security convoy in Colombia can be seen using Sig Sauer P226 pistols in the scene where the convoy is ambushed.

A Factory Black (K-Kote) Sig P226 pistol chambered in 9mm with the old style grips. This is a real movie gun and has appeared in several motion pictures. The exposed top of the barrel, where the empty shells eject out, is beveled at a downward angle, much more so than a standard SIG P226 pistol. This is one of many modifications to the pistol so that it will cycle with full flash motion picture blanks.

Type 69 Rocket Launcher

Several Chinese Type 69s (their version of the RPG-7) are used by the Colombian drug dealers to ambush and destroy the American diplomatic convoy. The weapon is fired at least four times.

Glock 17

John Clark can be seen with a Glock 17 with a threaded barrel when threatening Jack Ryan in Colombia.

NOTE: This is NOT a Glock 17 Pro as previously claimed; the G17 Pro did not exist when this movie was made, and it's available only in Finland. Furthermore, the Pro model was based on the Gen 3 Glock (also not around when the movie was made), so any true Glock 17 Pros seen in movies would have the rail frame and finger grooves that characterize the Gen 3 model.

NOTE: the pistol used by Clark in the film is a Glock 18 (machine pistol). Some versions of the G18 have the longer barrel shown in the picture. The selector switch on the side of the G18 slide is clearly visible in some shots in the film.

AKM/AKMS

Numerous AKMs and AKMSs can be seen in the hands of Escobedo's men almost throughout the movie. They are most visible in the scene in which the reciprocity team attacks and destroys the underground drug lab.
