The AKS-74U assault carbine has appeared used by the following actors in the following films:
- Leader of the Somali militiamen in Black Hawk Down
- Pierce Brosnan as James Bond, Famke Janssen as Xenia Onatopp, and Sean Bean as Alec Trevelyan in GoldenEye
- Haitian gang members including Kiko Ellsworth as "Blondie Dreads" in Bad Boys II
- Sammi Botibi as André Baptiste Jr. in Lord of War (gold-plated save for wood parts)
