Almost Human is a 2013 science fiction television series from executive producer J.J. Abrams. Set thirty-five years into the future in which a new wave of criminals armed with high-tech weaponry and a new synthetic drug plaguing the streets, the overwhelmed LAPD implements a new strategy in which all human officers are now paired with an advanced combat-model androids as partners. After being left for dead in an ambush by an android, costing him the life of his partner and right leg, Detective John Kennex (Karl Urban) has a strong hatred for robot partners. But once he is paired with the Department's more older model android a DRN or Dorian (Michael Ealy), a machine with the ability to feel and act human, the two unlikely partners take on the fight to retake the city.

Beretta Px4 Storm
What appears to be a Beretta Px4 Storm is used by Captain Sandra Maldonado (Lili Taylor) in "Pilot" (S1E01).
Timecop Beretta (visually modified Taurus PT99)
In "Pilot" (S1E01), what appears to be the "Timecop Beretta" (due to their being first mocked up for the 1994 Jean-Claude Van Damme sci-fi film Timecop) is used.
Submachine Guns
FN P90
What appear to be futuristic submachine guns are seen used by the LAPD MX combat androids and human officers during an ambush at the beginning of "Pilot" (S1E01). The submachine guns seen used are mocked-up FN P90 SMGs, with extended threaded barrel suppressors, an extended forward rail system with a tactical laser-pointer and Magpul AFG grips attached to the weapon.
Shotguns
UTAS UTS-15
At the beginning of "Pilot" (S1E01), Detective John Kennex (Karl Urban) is seen armed with a UTAS UTS-15 shotgun with an aiming laser attached to the front of its rail, during the ambush between LAPD officers and unknown criminals. This particular shotgun is seen in numerous science fiction series filmed in Canada, including Continuum and Fringe.
