Can someone tellme what this weapon is?? Thanks. http://www.imfdb.org/images/0/06/6_68_050908_WEEK34.jpg

Hi, Cyrus.
That is just an H&K MP5 with RAS kit and vertical foregrip. However, it looks to me like it might have an orange tip at the end of its barrel, which suggests to me that it must be an airsoft gun. Without sounding too racist or anything, I'd have to say that it seems unlikely to me that a bunch of starving Burmese civilians could pay the asking price for an MP5 with RAS on the black market. Although AKs are easily acquired in the Third World, I doubt the same is true of high-quality European firearms like the MP5. So again...most likely airsoft MP5.

Even Western/European 'high-quality' modern weapons still get around on the black market although in lesser numbers, They may be taken 'left-overs' or stolen from Police/Military bases etc.

Key word, "lesser numbers", which translates to higher prices. Remember, these people are dirt-poor, so if any of them had a high-quality weapon such as an MP5 with RAS, they'd probably sell it and get a lot of food or something. They wouldn't just be marching around displaying it for a crowd like that. Anyway, like I said, it has an orange tip if you look closely, so that suggests to me it's probably an airsoft gun. If you ever find photos of protest marches from the Gaza and West Bank, you'll see Palestinian kids brandishing airsoft guns all the time. I'm guessing the same thing happens in Myanmar.
