"Early" model?
Are we sure that this is an early 3rd Gen model? The big hint that it's not is the fact that it has a 2-pin frame. The early 9mm 3rd Gen Glocks still had single-pin frames, just like the Gen 2s did (whereas larger-caliber Glocks, such as the .40 S&W versions, have always had two pins, regardless of generation). We also can't see the right side, so it's hard to see either (1.) whether the gun has a flat extractor (another characteristic of early Gen 3s, held over from the Gen 1/2 days), and (2.) the serial number prefix.
I'm also going to emphasize that I don't see why we needed this stock image in the first place, given that we have an excellent image of a Gen3 Glock 17 that MPM took for us nearly 15 years ago now. -MT2008 (talk) 12:44, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
