The Fate of the Furious (aka Fast & Furious 8) is the eighth installment in the Fast and the Furious film franchise and was directed by F. Gary Gray (2003's The Italian Job). The 2017 sequel finds Dom (Vin Diesel) betraying his team and appearing to return to a life of crime while under the influence of a mysterious woman known as Cipher (Charlize Theron). The majority of the Furious cast returns for this sequel, which also includes newcomers to the series, Helen Mirren and Scott Eastwood.
